Tooth Extraction

Safe, Skilled, and stress-free Tooth Removals.

We always aim to preserve your natural teeth for as long as possible.

However, there are times when a tooth is too damaged or beyond repair, and removal becomes the only option.

An extraction simply means removing a tooth that can no longer be saved due to extensive damage or disease.

Tooth extractions are carried out under local anaesthetic, so you shouldn’t feel any pain during the procedure.

We ensure you’re fully numb and comfortable throughout. After the extraction, you may experience some mild discomfort, but this is normal. By following the aftercare instructions, most patients recover quickly and without complications.

In most cases, extractions are straightforward because the teeth we remove are already in poor condition. Occasionally, a tooth may take a little longer to extract due to its shape, strength, or position. If we believe your extraction may be more complex, we will refer you to a specialist oral surgeon to ensure you receive the safest and most appropriate care.

Usually you need to wait for healing to take place first -normally between 3 and 6 months. After that you can consider replacement of the tooth with dental implants, bridge, denture or a combination of these, depending on your case.
